Knesset approves a temporary terminal to replace the station

Station news

A joint Knesset committee approved changing the land use of part of Mikveh Israel. This lets a temporary public transport terminal be built there to replace the Tel Aviv Central Bus Station.

  • The temporary terminal can operate for up to 25 years, until a permanent transport centre is built.
  • An underground drainage channel to the Ayalon stream will be built along with it.
  • When the temporary period ends, the state will pay to restore the land.

This is a big step towards moving buses out of our building. But the terminal still has to be built, so for now the station keeps working as usual.
