Israel votes for the 26th Knesset on Tuesday, 27 October 2026. To help people get to their polling stations, the Central Elections Committee pays for free public transport – for everyone, not only voters.

When: from Monday, 26 October, at 20:00 until public transport stops running on election day.

Free intercity buses: about 660 intercity lines longer than 15 km, many of them leaving from our station. Just get on – no ticket, Rav-Kav or ID needed. Don’t tap your Rav-Kav or check in with an app, or you may be charged as usual.

Free trains: all Israel Railways lines. Only the free paper ticket counts: take one from a ticket machine or the counter at the station before the gates. Rides paid with a Rav-Kav or in an app are charged as usual.

Not free: city buses, the light rail, and intercity lines of 15 km or less. Keep some money on your Rav-Kav for those.

Eilat: free only for people whose registered address is north of the Arava junction, after registering in advance with Egged (*2800). A seat isn’t guaranteed.

Not sure your line is included? Call the Ministry of Transport information line, *8787. Expect busy buses and trains: in the last elections, the number of train passengers on election day went up by about a third.
